1.
Once again you should wake up to the fact that it’s not real just what you see You started to talk to yourself again but it’s not real just what you see what you see The sun rises and you go down You rise and the sun goes down Nothing lasts forever Nothing lasts forever
2.
She and I 03:08
She was writing down my favorite lyrics I can't remember whether she looked happy But the feelings still left loneliness and regrets will never go away Maybe I should let them go now Maybe I should let them go now Maybe I should let them go now Maybe I should I was reading a novel at school I can't remember the name of the book But the feelings still left loneliness and regrets will never go away Maybe I should let them go now Maybe I should let them go now Maybe I should let them go now Maybe I should
3.
Ah Ha Ha 02:28
Unripe mangoes Do you want me to eat them? Ce que je veux, c’est le calme I know what you don’t know Sour candies in your hands Do you want me to taste them? Quatre-vingt-dix-huit Are you gonna make me keep counting? I just laugh Ah hahaha Ah hahaha Ah hahaha Ah hahaha A gun in my right hand Do you want me to shoot the can? Je ne veux pas faire la guerre Bullets drop like feathers In the middle of the night I’ll think of a harrowing movie Quatre-vingt-dix-huit How many words did you shoot? I just laugh Ah hahaha Ah hahaha Ah hahaha Ah hahaha
4.
Hummingbird 04:30
They can fly backwards and upside-down Spreading the lightness of life Their scattered feathers are transparent Without any regret Can I be a hummingbird I’ll do my best anyway Can I be a hummingbird I’ll do my best anyway
5.
Surrender 03:00
Fear stirred up everything While I drowned in it Stars fell again and stabbed my back My little bird Do you want bigger wings My little bird I yearned for you for a long time The wind howled once again and the waves crashed down on me While I drowned in it Have you ever missed me My little bird Do you want bigger wings My little bird I yearned for you for a long time

about

After releasing my first full-length album [Unforeseen], I spent some time thinking about what kind of songs I wanted to write and what sound I wanted to make. While mulling this over, I found myself in a bit of an unintended slump, I would say now that this EP album seems to be the result of overcoming that slump. I think that [Kookaburra] is an EP that marks a new beginning for me as well.

The songs in this EP album are slightly different from those that I had released before. A lot of people that listened to my previous releases used the expression of being “covered by a fog”, personally I feel that these new songs mark the lifting of that fog.

All five songs are rooted in a folk-rock sound and with the full band they come across much brighter and clearer than my other works. Unlike the lyrics of the previous release, which always seemed to be loitering in the present, the lyrics on Kookaburra are trying to look more to the future and focus on the feeling of hope.
